The Catalan Network of Interreligious Dialogue Organizations (XCEDI), which was set up in 2005 after the IV Parliament of the World's Religions held in Barcelona within the framework of the Forum of Cultures, periodically convenes the Catalan Parliament of Religions . This Network covers the Catalan-speaking territory, including the interreligious initiatives of cities such as Barcelona, ​​Tarragona, Lleida, Girona, Perpignan, Valencia, Alicante, Mallorca and Andorra.

Currently, AUDIR (URI Europe CC) is responsible for the coordination of the Network that brings together 19 entities from the entire geographical area of ​​Catalan culture. The interreligious dialogue groups or entities that are members of the Catalan Network regularly gather reference believers or representatives of the various religious and spiritual traditions. These groups enable dialogue between religious traditions, mutual information and knowledge in the areas of building a culture of peace and coexistence.
The previous seven editions of the Catalan Parliament of Religions were held in Barcelona, ​​Manresa, Alicante, Lleida., Perpignan, Girona and Mallorca. The Parliaments of Religions are spaces that invite all people of faith, spirit, and goodwill to meet from the wide and rich diversity of the world's religious and spiritual traditions. These are days that invite listening and welcoming from an open heart and mind, to dialogue for mutual understanding, to reflect on the burning problems the world must face and to commit to discovering new paths for peace.

This year, the Parliament took place in Andorra on the 10th and 11th of May, and it was an exceptional opportunity to approach the many dimensions of the subject, Art and spirituality. Participants from the geographical and cultural area of ​​the Catalan language  met with the intention of:

• Listen to the voice of wisdom from different religious and spiritual traditions.
• Share feelings and thoughts about the fundamental questions of life and about art and spirituality.
• Celebrating the deepest dimension of the human being.
• Experience a personal transformation that leads to social change.
• Commit to work to achieve a cohesive and peaceful society.
• Recognize the humanity of diversity and expand the sense of community.

Jaume de Marcos, Global Council Trustee for Europe and URI Europe Board Member was URI Europe's representative at this important event.

Over 130+ participants attended the 2-day event organized by the UNESCO National Commission of Andorra in the country's capital. The program consisted of a number of presentations, meditation sessions, as well as artistic and musical events. The organizers were very interested in Jaume's presentation and expressed interest in considering joining URI in the near future.
